My baby brother is in high school and he started complaining about the exact sort of school stuff at nearly the exact same time. Our local public high school is very well funded. We live in A state where the lotto proceeds go to education AND our local property tax as well. What with all the gated communities around it adds up. So when you mentioned specific electives that the HS offers but the closest private college didn't I was biased toward thinking you were in a high school like mine that offers drama and wierd foriegn languages...of course my brother opted to take Latin, instead of Russian, German, or Japanese. He said it was easier after taking Spanish, already. I simply forgot that not all colleges suck as much as ours does....that and unlike the college students around here you don't ever complain about hangovers which even 19 year old freshmen do as despite being too young they still have access through upperclassmen. The area is extremely backward. well behaved children who care about their grades....wild young adults whose parents were altogether deceived by their kid's previous good behaviorin a school that can afford to give a school with 4000 kids a 1:20 teacher to student ratio and a pool, football stadium, baseball field, track field, exercise field, climbing/repelling wall, that weird looking platformm you have to slide off of in a harness on a rope, auditorium with stadium seating and sound proof lighting and sound booth (with attached dressing rooms and green room)(nearby full-service concession stand in the building), two libraries, five parking lots, and a cafeteria with five registers, an a la cart line and cappacino machine(also serves hot chocolate and pastries) And two art studios. You come off the same way as all my old classmates did when we went to a school with a VERY good attendence record( and therfore usually had the grades to show for it) It was reflected in the way we spoke. WHAZUP! didn't catch on very quickly over here. My apologies if you are insulted that I thought you to be a preppy teenager.
