floranna for the prompt: "Zuko does something to prove he is not Bellatrix and Voldemort's kid, but his own good person. To someone who doubted him before."

Chip on his Shoulder

"You're not a teacher." Zuko looked down his nose at Professor Smith. "You're a bully."

"Detention, Lestrange," the professor said boredly. "Move along. You don't want me to take any points. Your house doesn't like you much as it is."

Zuko's fists clenched, but he left his wand in his pocket. "He's going home on the train tomorrow already. You don't have to scare him like that." He glanced down at the eight-year-old stowaway, glaring back and forth between Professor Smith and Zuko himself. "He's gonna have to come back in a couple of years."

"And that's why he needs to learn now that you don't play with Hogwarts." Professor Smith glanced down at the kid, who was looking at Zuko like he was the dangerous one.

"You're Zuko Lestrange?" the kid spat.

"Yeah," Zuko unclenched his hands and tried to smooth the front of his robe, nervously.

"My brother told me about you," the kid, Sensu's brother, growled like it was supposed to be a challenge. "I don't want any help from You-Know-Who's kid."

"If you're so worried about the kid, you can take him back to the Headmistress, Lestrange." Professor Smith gave him a cruel smirk. "Have fun."

sorry, not coherent, I love this 'verse and really really like this drabble!

It's such a fun verse! It has no plot though... It's just shiny.

Aw, Zuko. Nobody will blame you if you become a dark wizard.

Iroh would. (I think Zuko becomes a little bit of a Dark Wzard to make his sister happy, and then realizes she's crazy after she's gotten powerful, and then has to take her down, but this universe doesn't really have a solid plot.)

Where is Iroh in this verse again? I don't recall, my head is made of holes :P

He, along with Aunt Wu, runs the orphanage that Zuko, Azula, and the other orphans of the second Voldemort war live.

Aww, Zuko. Even when you're trying to do the right thing, it seldom goes well for you, does it? Oh Hufflepuff, where is your loyalty to your House members? Then again, a lot of Hufflepuff members have probably lost family to Voldemort and his Death Eaters. And it definitely doesn't help that Zuko has Azula for a twin.

Zuko would like for his housemates to like him, and not lose points all the time, but Toph walks around hemorrhaging points, and when he stands next to her, he gets blamed! *Plays tiny violin* But no, Azula does not help.

Though I have an idea what Prof Smith was doing, I'd be interested to know what Zuko stepped in between.

Zuko doesn't get much of a break in this 'verse, does he? It won't be very surprising if Azula's able to convince him to become a dark wizard when I'm assuming most of the staff and pupils hate him.

At least he's got Toph?

Mostly just Professor Smith scaring the living daylights out of a little boy for kicks because he stowed away on the Hogwarts Express. Zuko was walking past, and Professor Smith's door was open.

Azula does, but then he decides she's evil and crazy, and he takes her down. It doesn't help that other than Toph, Mai and Ty Lee are his best buddies. The other orphans like him, and Sokka likes him, but he has to crawl a bit in seventh year to make up for going along with his sister in the sixth.

I am really sorry about not commenting, I got a job and I have been busy like a rabbit in spring.

Smith is an asshole. And Lee's reaction is just painful. It's understandable and realistic but still painful.
