The real question is, has the radio started playing real music again yet.

I am now officially wisdom teeth-less, and the marcaine is starting to wear off, so I can feel my face again well enough that I wish I couldn't. The nice thing is, we have tons of mashed potatoes and home made ice cream left over from Dad's birthday, so I don't have to worry about chewing anything, or trying to cook right now.  Anyway, now that Dad's birthday party is over (which is our religiously blended family's compromise present exchange holiday), I can now show off the beautiful craftsmanship on my gift to my sister.

Sock Zombie baby doll

Yes, it is carrying it's own leg. I'm proud of that. My mother was kind enough to help me out on this, since I'm allergic to acrylic paint. I sewed and stuffed the doll, and made the dress and the headband, and Mom did the blood and the green rotting stuff. I'm quite proud of the leg, and the way one of the button eyes is hanging down like it was ripped out and hanging by the optical nerve.

I feel I should clarify when I say this is exactly the kind of thing my sister likes; she loves zombies, and sock monkeys, and sock stuffed animals in general, especially weird alien sock stuffed animals, and anything morbid and cute at the same time.  And the look of unholy glee on her face when she unwrapped it was so worth it.

For those of you wondering, some of the local radio stations have been playing Christmas carols since just after Halloween, and listening to the same twenty songs for two months straight is really starting to get to me.  This may or may not have been a contributing factor in my sister's zombie sock baby doll.

So I clicked the cut and was instantly like okayyyyyy, but hey, it's very sweet in a gruesome kind of way. I like how the pink hair and pretty dress (nice print on the cloth, btw) hint at the person she was before her zombiefication. The bullet holes are a nice touch, too. But why is she carrying her leg? Zombies seemed cavalier about missing body parts, at least from my media exposure. Maybe it's a club, or maybe it's stuck for some reason?

The pink thing is actually a flower attached to a lace headband. It has a little tuft of brown hair that was part of the sock cuff though. Also, the dress is plain, but she's wearing an overdress made out of lace. She is using her severed leg to bludgeon unsuspecting victims. And because babies grab their toes, and she's still just a widdle thing.

Anyway, my sister loves it, and as grotesque as it is, that's what matters.
