Most of the sites I would reccomend are either defunct or private, sadly.
I can understand where they're coming from. I've seen so many horrible, hurtful portrayals of Jewish people, queer people, and people with disabilities, that when I started writing characters who were members of minorities that I wasn't, I didn't want to be the person who wrote something like that, and hurt people. And no matter how much research I do, it would never replace lived experience. But I also know how much it hurts when there aren't any portrayals at all. Of course I got the feeling from a lot of the people saying it that it wasn't about hurting anybody, but about feeling like their precious artistic freedom was being impugned, or feeling like "well if you minorities aren't going to be pathetically grateful that I included somebody who isn't exactly like me, well I'm just not going to do it!" *flounce*. So, there you go.
Running across a new pit of human cruelty is always rage inducing, even when it isn't happening to you
