It's lovely that you can enjoy your family so much, particularly since you can't get good Mexican food. I can imagine all too well your need to bite-bite-bite your tongue about these labor matters. Really, they were so awful to their latino population with the most draconian laws passed, whoever could in that population moved elsewhere.
Too bad the slaves weren't able to do that back in the day ... coz you just know, they would have moved out of Alabama too then, if they could have!
