Yeah, that's the other reason Smith doesn't like Zuko. Hufflepuff losing every time due to a pair of troublemakers doesn't make their head of house look too good, does it? Yeah, his housemates kind of resent them.
The only two teachers who like Zuko are McGonagall, and Longbottom, and both are fairly distant in their regard. Being in Hufflepuff helped reassure some people, but not many.
