Ah, but you see, the story that the Jews killed Christ was put out by the early Christian church to make the religion look more attractive them and therefore to gain converts. There came a point when very few Jews were converting to the faith, so it became very important to convince Romans that if they converted, they wouldn't be worshiping a traitor. This is the reason for the "mob turning on him" and the "I find no fault with this man." Historically speaking, actually, Pontius Pilate was one of the most brutal prefects of Judea, and executed people at the drop of a hat. by the time of the pogroms, no one was looking at the stories too closely. Oddly enough, many of the Christians who believe that the bible is to be taken literally (btw, I'm a reform Jew and don't believe the bible is the word of god) and grew up in this tradition excuse their modern aid of the Jewish people in their quest to gain and keep Israel (don't even get me started on Israel) say "well, it wasn't all of the Jews, it was only the priests and the pharisees, and they're not around anymore." This makes me laugh every time I hear it, because modern Judaism, i.e. Rabbinical Judiasm, is pharisee Judaism. Just about all modern Jews are pharisees.

A lot of my friends are Wiccan or Neopagan, and fewer of them converted because they thought it was cool, and more converted because they were dissatisfied with the rest of modern religions. One of my friends was actually raised Wiccan. My mom has a gift for finding sick animals. She claims God sends them her way when they need her. I seem to have inherited this gift and expanded it to birds.
