I hate to say this, but could you not usse the word "lame" on my journal?

That's for sure. Every person looks at an event and comes out of it with a different story. The truth is always filtered through human experience.
It's a particularly comic and poignant moment when the 14-year-old handing out fliers mutters how he's been fighting racism for forty, sixty years.
I know exactly how he feels. I've been fighting the fight since I was first able to, but I'm very cognizant of how many people have been fighting it before me, and for how long. It just doesn't end. There is something so absolutely wonderful about that many people saying "no, you don't get to do that, that's not okay."
