Crap! I'm sorry. As an exercise I tried replacing that with other words in my head but everything I can think of is ableist in some way, which says something either about the state of the English language or my vocabulary. I wonder, would "weak" be an acceptable replacement? Or would it be better to be more abstract (but accurate), such as "inadequate?"
