I'll never forget my visually impaired friend asking for the following accommodations.

1. She needed any slides an hour in advance so she could place them into her reader. These slides must be turned in two days in advance to the AV department.
2. She needed notice before being called on, because she was listening to her reader so she couldn't always pay attention if she needed to refresh her notes.

The teacher said it wasn't his problem.

Happily, it was a popular student, so there was a threatened revolution by students, including myself who said we'd all walk out of class if she didn't get it.

I'm shocked by the lack of common courtesy. Seriously, it's not just abelist. It's rude. It's bad manners. It's just unacceptable behavior.
