I think that's exactly what happened. I also think that a fair bit of the information exchanged was along the lines of "Hey ladies!" and "come and get it, big boy." *pets them*.
Mom's really really annoyed by the break, more than anything, because it's summer, and it's hot, and the boot's hot, and the break, actually two breaks, are both so tiny that they don't show up on x-ray, just in ultrasound. I'm enjoying myself more than I should, because I've broken my foot five times, and had to wear a boot three of those times, (the first time, I was five, and had to be in a wheelchair for four and a half months because I couldn't manage crutches, but they didn't set it, because they couldn't see a break. Funnily enough, now that I've stopped growing, they can see the break, which was so bad, it deformed my heel, and led to my subsequent breaks. The second time, I had to be in a plaster cast, which is so very much less fun than the boot), and one of those times was in summer in Florida, so...
I'm so excited about my tomatoes! Now if I can just get the squirrels to stop eating my basil...
