My mom is the reverse, extremely liberal feminist who gave anyone who bullied anyone in her family, member of the family or not, hell. Was your mother somehow brainwashed into believing that victims are at fault for their attackers' actions? if so, God help her if she ever becomes a victim. If her guilt and self loathing doesn't get to her, her cognitive dissonance will.
