Shortfic: A May 2nd Carol
Dec. 25th, 2008 10:56 pmDisclaimer: A Christmas Carol is in the public domain, but that doesn't matter, because the Harry Potter books aren't, and I'm not JKR. Therefore, I'm not attempting to make money with this, lest her lawyers take it away.
Summary: After Nagini bites him, Severus is visited by the spirits of the Marauders.
Author's Note: I know I'm Jewish and don't celebrate Christmas, and I know that Snape as Scrooge is a bit cliched, but this wouldn't let me go. I've been saying that a lot lately. This is neither an homage nor a parody of A Christmas Carol, which I had to read three times over the course of my grade school education and don't actually like much, I'm just making loose use of it. I have lifted dialogue directly from Chapter 33 (The Prince's Tale) and a tiny bit from Chapter 19 (The Silver Doe) of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the US edition.
