I don't have any special tricks. I've been doing it since I came out of my perpetual fog at about nine and a half. I pay for it by not remembering anything before I was nine, and having major visual interpretation problems. Other than using it to avoid really studying and building an extensive knowledge of any canon I plan to work with, I use it to psych people out.

I mostly assume Hermione is obsessive and studies for all but a regimented amount of time for sleep.
