Honestly, I think Tuaq probably pretty quickly ends up teaching a second class of just adult women. Look at any feminist revolution and see how many of the first adopters were not young girls, lol.
My mom's a nurse, and completely terrifying when she wants to be, as are most of the women in my family (nurses and terrifying) so I grew up with stories about the angels of the battlefield, and also personal harrowing tales. Medical professionals are by and large an unflinching bunch, and they need way more credit for this in fiction, y/y?
