You know what, I think this is one of my absolute favorite White Collar stories. I'm so glad you filled it.
I definitely feel this...coldness from Peter, that he doesn't really get, or perhaps even care, how exhausted this is making Neal, and he still expects so much from Neal. It's an undercurrent I get from the show on occasion, too, so it was great to see him characterized like this in an AU.
Plus, the details you added to the AU were super awesome. I LOVED LOVED LOVED that El wasn't food, showing, of course, that it's okay to Peter that in this instance Neal is. And Neal will do anything to get out of prison.
I really liked at the beginning how Neal is so focused on the light and the shadows, he's so out of it, but still so much is expected of him. And then he just wants to sleep, but Peter wants him to get the curtains. Really awesome. *adds to memories for sure!* Thanks so much for filling this so creatively, even though you don't like vampires!
