Rage Against the Prompt

You know, writing yesterday's bittercon post about the leeriness of authors to have a character acquire disability reminded me how much I hate seeing the words "no death or permanent injury" in a fic prompt.  Thanks a lot for putting becoming disabled in the same category as dying, folks, means a lot.  Seeing that always means I will not fill that prompt, no matter how much I otherwise like it, and it means I feel a strong compulsion to fill it and make a character permanently disabled at the end just for spite.
