Ohhh, the fun physics. Well, that's what I always used to call it in my head when we did it, but considering that was two years ago...:) With string theory, isn't part of the problem that certain elements work and make sense, but other don't fit at all?
You're dad sounds like a pretty amazing guy. Three languages? I can barely manage two. Eee, it scares me a little how much some politicians ignore the science which is desperately needed and impacting daily life, and vice versa.
See, I've never gotten this distain for humanities. I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be doing any advanced science at all without the ability to communicate and understand one another.
