Poor Zuko. He has real, honest to God grievances, and everybody's just dismissing him completely. That's on top of the grievances, like them killing his uncle and crew, thanks. Pakku would just be fuel to Zuko's flame.
You're not reading too much into it at all, that was part of what I was going for. Zuko was horrible to all of them, and that just makes it worse.
I don't think Yue would be inclined to fall in love with Sokka in this verse, because she is busy having angsty impossible romantic issues with Zuko. Higher up in the comments, some of us were talking about how she and Zuko, stuffed full of honor and obligation as they both are, would spend a lot of time staring into each other's eyes having thinly veiled conversations about duty trying to convince each other that her marrying Hahn was the right thing.
