Iroh... I love him, he is awesome, but man, every time I want to really torture Zuko, he has got to go, because he would have Zuko out of there so fast... he's too awesome.
The problem for me with making this into a longfic was several fold. First, it was for help_japan, so I needed to get it done, and even this took forever. Second, it's both bleak and lacking in plot, so I don't think I could have sustained it.
No, you may not, it's not like this is a fanfic, where I pulled almost all the characters and worldbuilding straight from the source material and then got the core concept of the fic from a request, after all. Of course you can! And if you ever do, drop me a line and I will link to it. I'm sure the people who have been expressing their wish for a sequel would be glad to see it.
