Firebenders are cannibalists. Zuko centric, please, and preferably at the Western Air Temple the Gaang reacts to this. (Yes, I am a Zuko-whore. ^^ And not ashamed by it!)
Zuko is very, very morally grey. Gaang is terrified/worried about the decisions he does when he has joined them. No qualms of killing, etc. Say if this is too vague.
Zuko hurt his leg on the run and it won't heal. (something like with Severus, something a bit more permanent.) ^^
Ocean spirit dragged Zhao AND Zuko down to the bottom of ocean.
Azula's lightning strike on Zuko has something far more serious consequences on Zuko.
Ozai executed Zuko after he arrived to Fire Nation.
