Lol! Yeah, that was one of the problems I had with the rest of the Avatar!Zuko fics I saw. Why would Ozai want to expend money and time on trying to kill a superpower when all he needs to do to get said superpower on his side is to say: Son, I love you (and maybe throw in a few hugs every now and then)? Iroh's remedy will last only until Zuko realizes what he's doing or until Ozai decides to send Azula to pick Zuko up. (But then again, Azula wouldn't want to lose her spot as Daddy's favourite XD).
