It's becoming a bit of a recuring joke that the verse has no plot, but I do know some things. Zuko airbends accedentally all the time, but can't do it on purpose reliably until he gets training, water and earth came easily to him, which because he's Zuko worried and angered him. As for general themes, Zuko has a character arc similar to canon, which means yes, Ozai gets his hooks back into Zuko.
