I'm kind of embarrassed to realize I spent nearly two years hanging around this fandom without any Zuko icons.
Did Zuko run away or something when he realized he was the Avatar? Or did Ozai banish him before becoming aware of the Avatar business? If he realized he had the Avatar right in the next room, I imagine Ozai wouldn't let him out of his sight for any reason. But no idea if he'd take advantage of Zuko's love for him to craft a powerful ally for the Fire Nation, or if he'd lock Zuko up and throw away the key.
And where would Iroh be in all of this? Teaching Zuko how to be a citizen of the world? Ow.
Poor world, though. I can just imagine the looks on people's faces when they realize the Avatar they were hoping was going to fight the Fire Lord is (mentally) in the Fire Lord's pocket.
