Oh yes, he does not to right by our girls, but Zuko was a complete asshole to Iroh for most of the show, and we love him anyway. This fandom is not shy about loving jerkfaces as long as they're also total angstmuffins with the potential to do better.

Of course a lot of the problem is that fandom wants him to be Zuko, and... no.

He is not Zuko. I absolutely adore (and obsess over) Zuko, and I like Mako, but even I don't consider them to be same type of character.
