Zuko now has a pet adder.

On a side note, he's twelve here. he still has a year before his sister (his father is too dead to do the honors) shoots an incendio at his face and then hexes it so that it can't be healed. And he covers for her. So he's cute little kid Zuko in this.

I think it's funny that Zuko is the one who has a snake, not Azula.

It feels so much more terrible that it's Azula who does it. I need more in this verse.

Have you thought about inserting Ozai in any form to this verse? Obviously not as a father, but...

Azula would disembowel the snake, and then where would we be.

It does, doesn't it, and that Zuko covers for her just makes it even more awful.

*grumbles* I have, but I haven't found anything to do with him that I like.

Now I want to see something (preferably sweet or fluffy, but this is Zuko, it might be too tall an order) about Zuko with his little pet adder (like: do it and its eventual mate get named after the dragons?)...Actually I can imagine a few different drabbly scenarios...

Yes, Zuko's adder ends up named Ran, and he ends up with another named Sho, who he has to keep hidden, because he's only allowed one animal, but everyone knows about Sho anyway.
